On May 13, 2024, after a trial of over three weeks in Clark County Superior Court, Tim Allen and Bryan Terry obtained a defense verdict on behalf of MAS' client, an Emergency Medicine physician. Plaintiff claimed an ear infection was not treated with appropriate antibiotics in the Emergency Department, and instead of discharging the patient he should have been admitted to the hospital and placed on IV antibiotics. Following discharge, the patient’s condition rapidly deteriorated, and he died two days later from complications associated with meningitis. Plaintiffs asked for $25 million in damages. After deliberating for just under 2.5 hours, the jury returned a defense verdict on behalf of our client, as well as an ENT physician, a nurse, and the hospital.
